Bowling Club Contributes to Local Community Library
Denby Dale Bowling Club holds an annual Fun/Charity Day and this year the charity chosen by members to receive the proceeds from the day is Denby Dale Community Library.
The photograph shows Peter and Ann Hanson, the organisers of the day, giving a cheque for £308 to Janet Johnson, Chair of the Library Trustees.
Visit from Ballaugh Bowling Club, Isle of Man
On Saturday 14 June, we welcomed a visiting team from the Ballaugh Bowling Club in the Isle of Man.
Members enjoyed taking part in a friendly match and partook of the light refreshments provided by Jenny Madrell, Karen Taylor and others. The weather behaved itself and we had a very enjoyable morning.
