End of season social

The Fountain Inn at Ingbirchworth has been chosen to host our annual event, on Tuesday 4th November, 2025, from 1.30 pm.

As in previous years, members and any guest are invited to join together over lunch, followed by the presentation of trophies to those winning a variety of internal competitions, summary of the club’s season and of course the traditional, but competitive, quiz !!

Lunch will consist of a choice of one of three main meals plus a vegetarian option, together with a choice of one of three desserts, at a cost of £25 per head. See menu below.

Refreshment drinks and additional items e.g. ice cream, are for members / guests to choose on the day, payable separately to The Fountain Inn themselves.

We are limited to around 40 places which will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served” basis. Thus, please advise of any intended booking no later than Sunday 19th October to Rob Millington by email (rmillington230@btinternet.com) together with choice of menu (main / dessert), plus your intended method of payment, electronically (details from Rob) or cash on the day.

• Sticky Toffee Pudding, Black Treacle & Butterscotch Sauce & Vanilla Ice Cream (gf)
• Vanilla Panna Cotta, Mango, Pineapple & Blackberry Compote (gf)
• Double Chocolate Brownie, Caramelised White Chocolate & Brownie Crumb (gf)

Bowling Club Contributes to Local Community Library

Denby Dale Bowling Club holds an annual Fun/Charity Day and this year the charity chosen by members to receive the proceeds from the day is Denby Dale Community Library.

The photograph shows Peter and Ann Hanson, the organisers of the day, giving a cheque for £308 to Janet Johnson, Chair of the Library Trustees.
